Life seems to be falling into place slowly, bit by bit. Which is good, I meanreallygood.
I may not have made it into my preferred course at uni, but I am looking at it as a sign that maybe architecture was never meant to be my ‘thing’. However, in saying that I have the ability do electives which are from the school that looks after the architecture course. So I’ll get to experience a part of the architecture side of things anyway.
Last week was probably one of the most stressful weeks I’ve had in a while. It all dawned on me that I had less than a month to organise accommodation for this year, to resign from work, to finish my application for Centrelink, and in the end move to Newcastle.
I managed to achieve resigning from work after four days of trying to talk to my boss, and finding accommodation-and oh boy was finding the right accommodation a fun thing to do.
So, after two weeks of contributing to the depletion of the ozone layer going back and forth between here in Sydney to there in Newcastle to look at about eight different properties, I finally foundtheplace.
I had a feeling about this one when I first emailed the lady about the room, it was weird.
But anyway-the lady is really nice, they have an adorable pet dog and a 20 year old son (lol), the room is a good size (bigger than what I have here at home!), and it is located pretty freaking conveniently for everything. I am so happy.
I’m planning on starting to move in this weekend, but I don’t know how I am going to go about carting a ready-to-build bed frame from Ikea and all my other belongings in my little Toyota Starlet…but challenge accepted (more like twenty trips between, accepted haha).
Last week, I had two friends who helped me through my slight panic stage of things-thanks guys, I probably would be still going mental about everything haha.
Anyway, I am off to bed again cause of my headache-a delayed hangover, would you believe? It sucks.
Goodnight beautiful people <3
23 hours and 34 minutes until I find out if I am moving to Newcastle this year for uni. It’s a melting pot of mixed emotions.
Pretty much as soon as 9pm hits, I’ll be finding out if I’m spending the next week wallowing in my sorrows over being neither a genius nor sporty child, or if I’ll be competing with others to get the cheapest room in Newcastle.
I hope to whichever religious deity exists/’watching over me’, that it is the latter because I am not in the right mindset to wallow over another shitty thing in my life.
I mean, if I don’t make it in this round there are always the next and final two rounds. But the downside of that is:
1. I’m a backup to fill their seats, &
2. I have less time to resign from my job and move from here to there.
And if I don’t get an offer in either of the final rounds, well I’m either doing the sped course or TAFE.
…or just giving up.
Let’s hope that this time tomorrow night I am not wallowing. Because when I wallow, I wallow.
Goodnight lovelies <3
